New in Visma Sign! Changes in signer role selection.

R

Is the signer a private person or do they represent an organization? The process for choosing the role of the signer has now been made clearer both when creating an invitation and when signing.

Changes in invitation creation

Prior to the update, when creating an invitation the role of the signer was chosen through a separate menu and the default setting for the role was set to private individual. Now, after the change, the role selection function has been moved next to the signer's basic information. Choosing a role for the signer is also now mandatory.

When creating an invitation you now have to choose whether each of the signers represent a private person or a company through the Signer represents menu.

The purpose of this change is to clarify to the invitation creator whether a signature is being requested from an private person or a company representative. This helps with creating binding contracts between companies and prevents situations where the company's information is left out of the signature even though it would be necessary for the contract.

In addition to this, the contract-wide Sign as organization setting has been separated into its own setting: Set all signers to represent: Company or Private person.

Changes in signing

Prior to the update, if the invitation creator has chosen a role for the signer, the signer did not have an option to change their role when signing. Now, after the change, if the invitation creator has chosen the Private person -role for the signer, they are able to change their role to Company when signing if necessary.

The option to change the signers role when signing only applies when the role has been chosen as private person.
