Once the invitation has been sent, there may be a need to correct the invited person's email address or phone number. This guide explains what information can still be edited, how to make changes, and how the invitation can be canceled or which details are final after sending.
Modifying an invited signer's email address and phone number
You can only change an invited signer's email address or phone number if the invitation status is "Invitation Sent." This is possible even if other parties have already signed their invitations – you can still edit the information for individuals who haven't opened their invitation yet.
To update an invited signer's details:
- Open the document details by clicking its name.
- In the Signatures section, click the Edit Signees button.
- Update the email address or phone number and save the changes.
After saving, a new invitation will automatically be sent with the updated information via email and/or SMS.
Canceling the invitation
You can cancel a sent invitation by navigating to the Home > Documents > Clicking the name of the invitation to open the detail page of the document > selecting "Cancel invitations" from the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
Once the invitation is canceled, any unused invitation links will be deactivated and can no longer be opened. The "Delete document" button in the same location allows you to permanently remove the document from the archive if desired.
You cannot cancel an invitation that has been sent to you. In this case, it is best to wait for the invitation to expire, so it will be automatically canceled, or you can ask the sender to cancel the invitation.
What cannot be edited in the invitation?
In addition to the above, the invitation cannot be edited in any other way after it has been sent. This means that, for example, the invitee's name and the validity period of the invitation cannot be changed. Signers cannot be added or removed at this stage. Also, the attached document cannot be modified after sending.
