Visma Sign currently supports strong authentication based on identification methods used in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands. If the invitee does not have strong authentication credentials from any of these countries, you can send them a lightweight signature invitation.
What is a light signature method?
In Visma Sign, you can send electronic signature invitations that do not require authentication, known as light signature invitations. A light signature does not require authentication, so it can be used, for example, when the signer does not have approved strong authentication methods available, the parties are already familiar with each other, or the nature of the agreement does not require authentication. The light signature works practically anywhere in the world.
How do I send an invitation to someone who cannot authenticate with methods supported by Visma Sign?
The light invitation method can be selected during the document creation phase. For an individual signer, you can send a light signature invitation by opening the Additional settings for that specific person and enabling the option Allow signature without strong authentication.
If you are unable to change the signature method, please contact your administrator. In this case, the option has been restricted in the company settings.
If you want to allow light signature for all signers of the document, activate the "Signatures without strong authentication" option.
The signature method cannot be changed after the invitation has been sent. If you want to use the light signature method, you must create a new invitation and enable the light signature option during its setup.
How is a light signature invitation signed?
A light signature invitation is signed by first opening the invitation with a password. After that, the signer proceeds to enter their name into the signature field, just like in a traditional handwritten signature.
Finally, the signature is confirmed, and the process is complete.
