When you send an invitation to sign a document via email or text message, the recipient will see the following information in the invitation:
- A notification that they have been invited to sign the document electronically.
- The name of the document and the date until which the invitation is valid.
- The password required to open the invitation.
- A link through which the recipient can access the document. Clicking the link will open a view prompting them to enter the password. After entering the password, the recipient can read the document and sign it. Please note that the password is part of the invitation and cannot be removed.
- Before signing, the recipient can preview the document, download it for their own records, and optionally leave a comment. Any comment will automatically trigger an email notification to the sender of the invitation.
You can find more detailed information in our instructions about how the signature appears in a signed document: What do the markings on the signed document mean (eIDAS)?
