The person's name is retrieved from the authentication channel used during registration and appears in Visma Sign exactly as it was recorded at that time. Please note that first names, middle names, or last names cannot be changed directly within the Visma Sign service. When signing with a strong signature, the name is always retrieved through the strong authentication channel.
If your name has changed and you want to update it on your Visma Sign account, follow these steps:
1. First, ensure that your new name has been updated in your authentication channel. Please note that in some channels (e.g., banks), name changes may take a couple of weeks to update.
2. Re-register for the Visma Sign service. Once your name is correct in the authentication channel, re-register for Visma Sign through our registration page by filling in your information as usual.
3. After registration, login to Visma Sign. The service will automatically link the new information to your old account, including any organization accounts, settings, rights, and documents.
Since registration is done through strong authentication, you cannot have two users with the same authentication in the service. Therefore, the registration can be done again, and the service will recognize the old user. This way, Visma Sign will also retrieve your name again from the authentication channel, and it will be updated in your Visma Sign account.
