The location of a document you have signed as a private individual depends on when the signing took place. As a private individual, you may sign documents such as employment contracts, rental agreements, or similar types of agreements.
If you signed the document before April 24, 2025, it was stored in your personal Visma Sign account for 12 months from the date of the last signature. If more than 12 months have passed since the final signature, the document has been automatically removed from your personal archive. In that case, you can obtain a copy by requesting it from the sender.
If the document was signed on or after April 24, 2025, it is not stored in your personal Visma Sign account. Instead, once all parties have signed, the document is made available through a secure download link sent by email. The message is sent from visma.sign@visma.com and includes instructions for downloading the document as well as information on how long the link will remain active.
If the document is no longer available or you receive an error message when accessing the link, you can request the signed document directly from the person who sent the signing request.
If you signed the document as a representative of a company, you can find more information in our article Where can I find the document I signed?
Why can’t I find the invitation sent to me in Visma Sign?
The invitation sent by the other party is delivered to you either by email, SMS, or both – depending on the delivery method chosen by the sender. Therefore, please check both your email and your phone messages.
In Visma Sign’s “Received invitations” section, you will see all open invitations that have been sent to the email address you use to log in to Visma Sign. The list shows the document name, the sender, and any deadline. You can start signing by clicking the Sign button on the right side of the row.
After signing, you’ll be automatically redirected back to the “Received invitations” page, allowing you to handle multiple invitations easily one after another.
In order for all invitations sent to you to appear in the “Received invitations” section, you must first verify your email address in the service.
