You can create a new document type in the Documents view.


1. First, select Document types:

2. Next, select Create a new document type:


3. Enter the name of the document type represented by the documents below it. The name of the document type could be, for example, Employment Contracts, Delegations of Authority, Partner Agreements, etc. If you wish, you can also add a description to the document type, detailing the type of documents that fall under the type. 



4. Finally, click Create Document Type button and you're done!


Psst! When you want to give specific users access to a document type you have created, you can do this by adding the desired group of users access to that document type from Settings > Users > User Groups. This could mean, for example, that you have a user group HR to whom you give rights to the Employment contracts document type.
